Rented two bikes for 1/2 day - cycled out to Hermit's Rest and back - took about 3 1/4 hours including a quick lunch stop. No traffic other than park buses. An excellent way to spend half a day. Staff were great, bicycles were comfortable and well maintained. Park buses have bike racks that hold 3 bikes in case you run out of gas on your ride. Recommended.

What a great experience we had! Our tour guide, Megan was so friendly and fun and really knew her stuff. The staff at Bright Angel was very helpful and provided top notch customer service! We made our reservation ahead of time and were checked in very quickly and were soon on our way to explore the Grand Canyon. I would definitely recommend this experience to anyone and suggest you ask for Megan as your guide.

Rental bikes: great experience to travel the whole park in a bike. Go for the cruiser, you won't a path where you will miss a mountain bike, since the road is plain and well maintained. Prepare yourself for a good 4h ride till the Hermit's lodge and back to Visitor center (counting with multiple stops on the way). On the way back follow the car road, not the bike-pedestrians, it's faster and very safe since only the shuttle buses use it.

Total price for two cruiser bikes, half a day: 76 usd, with tip, and taxes. I find that a bit expensive for just 5 hours. Also, the cruiser bikes are not ideal for long uphill paths, they are quite heavy.

I really can't say enough about this place - the staff makes it a wonderful experience and you can tell they love their job. We did a 3 hour bicycle tour of the south rim and Makayla was our guide- she is fantastic and a lot of fun!! She is adorable and we just wanted to put her in our pocket and take her home with us. Aside from that the entire staff was so knowledgeable about the canyon and life around it. It was the highlight of our Grand Canyon visit. Also the cafe food is really good - excellent sandwiches and whatnot - many healthy selections. Last but not least they have the best coffee you will have at the canyon. Enjoy!!

The Bright Angel Bicycle shop did an outstanding job of making our ride easy to book, outstanding customer service, and very nice rental bikes! This was the highlight of my trip to the Grand Canyon. "Chance" was extremely friendly, knowledgable, and made us all feel very welcome. I highly recommend this to anyone wanting to get up close to the canyon and not have to deal with being on the road with traffic. Some breathtaking stops along the way. A must do!!!
