They treat you nicely. They are pet friendly.The prices are competitive.
This is definitely the place to go if you need anything while you’re at the Grand Canyon. I got some yogurt for only fifty cents. I like to have cold yogurt after a long hike. This place is basically a small grocery store, camping supplies, gift shop, coffee shop, and deli.
As a worker here, I've enjoyed the massive crowds from all over... the store which is well maintained and has much more than you expect, and the services available to people both visiting and looking for work.
This is the only general store in Grand Canyon park, while it cannot have everything you could need it caries a lot more than you would expect from a camp store. There is a large gift shop that includes expert hiking gear and rentals, there is a deli offering good food at a reasonable price, there is an alcohol section containing a wide selection of hard liquor, wine and beer (domestic and craft) and even a meat deli for fresh cuts of steak. This store carries enough goods to supply the entire village of tourist and workers. The staff is well trained and friendly. The prices on these items are of course inflated, face it, they are the only game in town.
Great selection. Decent deli. Cheaper than the stores in town as far as groceries. You can rent last minute camping and backpacking g gear which is nice. Everything you need is there for the most part.
