This is a scam. We came at Spring Break (absolute peak season) and had no problem with parking at Grand Canyon, despite the fake radio reports from Tusayan that claimed they were full. No need to take a shuttle from here due to parking issues!
The shuttle service is free and you get what you pay for. We did not use it outside of the park just inside of the park but their timing is horrible. They don't seem to care about anyone's time. We missed the sunset because our driver had to smoke. I get you need a break but that couldn't have been times any better? And they have two shuttles for the sunrise but one is literally after it's up so if we don't get the one an hour before you miss it. Just seems that a park that's been open for over a hundred years they would have figured out the timing for people to see what they came too.
