This was not my first time to the Grand Canyon but it was my first time to the South Rim. It was a bit cloudy the day we visited but that just made the day less hot - the views were just as spectacular! We did the South Rim trail and walked until the rain and thunder storms later in the day made us quit. We hopped on one of the shuttle buses and made it back to the parking lot mostly dry. It was a great trip!
Amazing views and a lot of parking even when Park is full. Pricing for entrance for a few hours is the same as 1-7 days, Would be nice for one day exceptions. Either way it is well worth it and come early so you can take in as much as you can of this natural beauty. Very informative staff as well.
Just visited this past weekend for the second time in my life. This place is beautiful and there is nothing else like it. The staff and rangers are very nice and polite.I love the free shuttle busses they provide to get you around the park, we utilized this and it was great. Their facilities are VERY clean as well. Next time I would like to rent their bikes with the trailer (to put my kids in). I was also very impressed with their medical staff. A gentleman had fallen and hit his head and was bleeding a lot - they made sure he was taken care of and had a ambulance there right away.
An absolutely amazing and breathtaking place that you have to experience for yourself
The south rim is spectacular. A must see for everyone.
