Nice tour (sunset) but only recommended if you haven't been to the Grand Canyon South Rim before. The off-road part of the tour means going through the National Forest on gravel streets. Inside of the National Park you will head for the usual sight seeing points which are accessible for regular visitors with their own cars as well. Unfortunately we've been to the most places before, so in my opinion the price of 90 Dollar is pretty tough. However, our guide Sheila was great, very nice and gave us lots of information, especially about the National Forest.
Did the sunset tour in October - it was great. Earlier in the day we had toured the South Rim on our own, but still found this tour to be enjoyable and worth the money.
I think this photo speaks for itself - Grand Canyon Jeep Tours & Safari's was AMAZING! Our tour guide Werner (may be spelling that wrong) was absolutely fabulous! He was very personable but also professional and informative. You can tell he has a true passion for his work and loves to share with his guests. The scenery was breathtaking and truly a once in a lifetime opportunity! I would definitely recommend this tour!

My daughter and I took a Sunset Tour with Werner as our guide. Werner shared stories and photos as he led our jeep tour. We had thunderstorms just before the tour but Werner told us that some of the most magnificent sunsets took place after thunderstorms. He was right, we have a wonderful time , learned a lot and got amazing photos of the canyon at sunset.
We booked the sunset tour on 10/2/17 and we are so happy we did. Werner was our guide and he did an amazing job. Taught us about the canyon, history and also what DUDE means. You can tell he loves his job and is very passionate about what he does. Great pics and a great time. Thank you
We stopped at a number of lookout point on the south rim and would look around for 10 minutes or so before our guide gathered us back in the Jeep. The final location to watch the sun set was from Grandview Point.
For the Sunset Tour: We left the McDonald's Parking Lot and traveled through the Kaibab National Forest (warning, you will get very dusty if the sides of the jeep are open). Our tour guide Colleen told us facts and info about the area during the entire 3 hours. Even though I had seen some of the sites on my own earlier in the day, I learned a lot from her as we drove around.
There are blankets in the jeep that you can use to cover up with as it gets cold when the sun sets (this was really nice). As we watched the sun set, our guide put the sides of the Jeep down so that it was warm on our way back.
