Lots of information and a free short movie available about Canyon formation and maintenance. A book store, cafe n restroom are available too but everything shuts down at 5. Better to grab and go before shuttle tours. Shuttle tours r free n frequency is also good. After sunset it could be very cold, be prepared (we went on Thanksgiving week).
Absolutely amazing service. While it took some time to get helped, this was the result of experienced service staff working diligently with each person to help them with the best options to maximize each person's experience at the park. Truly amazed at how much energy the put into ensuring each person would have the best possible experience.
I don’t know how to review this amazing place. So I will share some tips if you are driving to Grand Canyon. Carry some light jacket and carry food. You cannot eat inside the bus but there are plenty of picnic benches in front of the view points. You can have food while enjoying a great view.
Parked my car here and take shuttle to walk me around. Convenient and better as I can enjoy the scenery instead of focusing on road. well-maintained and informative visitor centre.
Top notch service!
Visiting the Grand Canyon at sunset was an amazing experience. Breathtaking is the only word I can use to describe it. We went on Veteran’s Day weekend and the Park was free. I think it’s normally $30/vehicle. The wildlife on the drive up to the parking area is awesome. We saw plenty of nice large bucks and a couple elk along with some smaller woodland creatures. It was our first time there so we weren’t sure how the parking worked, but the RV parking area is the closest to the rim. We didn’t know that and ended up parking farther away than we should have. I definitely recommend taking a water bottle as they have stations you can fill it up at.
