I enjoyed the nice, tidy rooms. The beds were incredibly comfortable and my sleep was better than I expected. however, i was lost on where the ice machine was and never figured out how to turn on the room heater. but, as I spent most of my time outdoors, the room did what I needed...which was give me a warm cozy place for me to rest

We stayed in the east lodge. It was a nice room but hard beds. The hotel upgraded our room to the family size so we had 2 queen beds and a set of bunk beds. The kids loved the bunk beds. With 3 kids it was nice for them not having to share. Breakfast is not included and at the hotel restaurant the morning buffet is 15 dollars. I would recommend walking across the parking lot to the market for breakfast. They have simple foods like breakfast burritos and sandwiches but it would have beat the 62 dollars we spent on the breakfast buffet for my family of 5

The lodge is in a great location with an amazing overlook a short walk or drive away. Their restaurant had great food, with a pasta buffet in the evening. There's a tavern attached to the restaurant, coffee place for your morning latte, and a general store across the parking lot. The service both at checkin and at the restaurant was wonderful! The room itself was clean, quiet, and comfortable! We stayed on the East side which have the A/C units, but we never needed them since it was cool enough. We would definitely recommend!

A little disappointed in the room. Neither queen beds had a fitted sheet. They were both regular sheets just laid across the top. Looking under the sheet was a little dirty so I was sleeping very consciously to not disturb the sheet. The room had 3 trash cans - 0 cans had a trash bag in it. Here is WiFi ONLY in the lobby/tavern.

On the plus side, you are staying right in the park about a 10 minute walk from the rim. The park has a pretty impressive bus service that can get you anywhere. There is a large cafeteria-style restaurant (with a small bar attached) as well as well stocked grocery store within walking distance. That being said, the room was a bit spartan (but comfortable) however it could have used a good vacuuming. Reasonable cost for where you are.

I did appreciate the bottles of shampoo/conditioner/body wash. The lodge was also very conveniently located inside the park.
